DALLAS -- CityNet Telecommunications, Inc., the leader in building last-mile broadband infrastructure, formally launched a plan today with the City of Dallas, one of the nation's ten largest cities, to deploy a high-speed fiber optic network through the city's sewer system. Dallas is the ninth city to sign with CityNet in nine months. The agreement, approved by the Dallas City Council on September 12, allows CityNet to deploy its revolutionary robotic technology and construct a fiber optic network through the city's sewer system, to connect dozens of buildings, and businesses in those buildings, simultaneously to the high-speed metro fiber ring that typically circles around the city. The result will be state- of-the-art fiber optic broadband services for Dallas businesses and residents. "The City of Dallas means business when it comes to assisting companies wanting to operate in North Texas," said Dallas Assistant City Manager Ramon Miguez. "The high-speed communications services enabled by the construction of CityNet's last-mile fiber optic network will be an invaluable asset to companies in our area."CityNet Telecommunications Inc.
