MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- Camiant, Inc., today announced that its QBUS Multimedia Service Controller, the industry leading policy server, has been qualified as a Euro-PacketCable Multimedia (PCMM) compliant policy server within Euro-CableLabs (ECL) Certification Board Certification Wave 19. Camiant recently received PCMM certification from the U.S.-based CableLabs®, making the Camiant platform qualified worldwide.

“With today’s qualification from the ECL, Camiant looks forward to supporting deployments in Europe as well as existing and future ones in North America and Asia,” said Tom Cady, President and CEO of Camiant. “Being one of the first to receive Euro-PCMM qualification reinforces Camiant’s leadership position within the multimedia service framework. With Camiant’s proven platform, European operators now have a fully tested and qualified Euro-PCMM Policy Server ready for deployment.”

Camiant’s QBUS Multimedia Service Controller was among the first products to receive qualification from CableLabs as a PCMM-compliant policy server. The Camiant QBUS Multimedia Service Controller allows operators to prioritize service delivery based on factors such as subscriber-tier, application and network status.

The Camiant Multimedia Service Controller, Applications, and Application Managers have been selected for market deployment by operators in North America and Asia. Today, Camiant provides both highly available and scalable Application Managers and Policy Servers within the PCMM architecture, enabling cable operators worldwide to deliver dynamic advanced services and increase the average revenue per subscriber.
