Alcatel and SDGI to Produce Fiber in China

Today, Alcatel (Paris: CGEP.PA; NYSE: ALA) and SDG Information Co. Ltd. (SDGI), one of China's leading optical fiber and cable manufacturers, announced that they have signed a Joint Venture agreement to manufacture optical fiber in China. The new Joint Venture, which will be established in Shenzhen, will play a key role in developing and providing optical fiber to satisfy the quickly growing demand in China and potentially other parts of Asia.
