Stanzione, retired chief operating officer of Lucent Technologies Inc., to its board of directors. "I have been impressed with Continuum's team, technology and strategy. Prior to his role as COO at Lucent Technologies where he had oversight responsibility of technology, product architecture and manufacturing decisions, Stanzione was the president of Bell Laboratories, responsible for all R&D within Lucent from 1995 to 1999. Stanzione began his career at Bell Labs in 1972. During the late 1980s and early 1990s, Stanzione was the president of business units within AT&T that had global responsibility for switching, transmission and large software system products for use within networks around the world.
