MUNICH -- The Siemens Information and Communication Networks Group, Munich, Germany, and Barco Communication Systems, Kortrijk, Belgium, announce the two companies will collaborate closely to provide state-of-the-art solutions for professional video contribution and distribution. Siemens and Barco will target the growing global market of future-oriented broadcast services with integrated TV-studio and multi-service networks' solutions for broadcasters, carriers, service-providers and operators. Barco MPEG/ETSI codecs, DVB-T and CATV equipment, as well as Siemens IP and ATM product portfolio will be offered by both companies using their respective global sales channels as a complete solution from a single source.
