Prudential Financial secures corporate networks and client data using IntruShield technology from IntruVert Networks

NEWARK, N.J. and SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE:PRU) announced today that it is using IntruVert Network's next-generation IntruShield line of intrusion detection and prevention products to increase the security of its technology networks and client information worldwide. "The security of our networks and our customer information is of the utmost importance to Prudential Financial. That's why we constantly seek state-of-the-art hardware and software to help us in our campaign to ensure that our networks and our client information all over the world are not vulnerable to cyber-attacks of any sort," said Bill Friel, senior vice president and chief information officer at Prudential Financial. Parveen Jain, president and CEO of IntruVert Networks, said that the IntruShield products are designed to significantly improve the detection of known, unknown and Denial of Service attacks and to prevent attacks as they occur in real time. He said that they also help lower the overall costs associated with security. "We are very pleased to be selected by Prudential Financial as a vendor of choice for intrusion detection and prevention. With malicious attacks on the rise, companies are requiring technologies that can accurately detect and prevent attacks in real-time," Jain added. The I-4000 is suited for deployment at the core of the enterprise or the perimeter of demanding networks. The I-4000's Gigabit Ethernet interfaces provide the performance and operational redundancy required to secure a high bandwidth, high-availability network infrastructure.
