SAN DIEGO and KFAR-SABA, Israel -- PacketLight Networks (www.PacketLight.com), developer of an advanced new generation optical service transport system, has announced the hiring of its first U.S.-based executive, VP of Sales James Chitkowski. Chitkowski joins PacketLight after serving as VP of Sales and Marketing for Sorrento (formerly Osicom), one of the pioneering companies in the metro DWDM market. He has held sales and marketing positions at Broadband Technologies, Tekelec, and DSC. He began his career at Siemens and NEC.
“I am confident James will accelerate our penetration into the U.S. market,” said Meir Kollmann, PacketLight’s CEO. “He will naturally focus on our main objective right now, that of introducing our revolutionary and innovative solution and products to the marketplace, as well as building up our presence in the United States.”
