CFO Stefano Colombo will not renew his contract, which expires on April 10, 2007

VIENNA -- The Telekom Austria Group (VSE: TKA, NYSE: TKA) today announced that Stefano Colombo, currently Chief Financial Officer of Telekom Austria AG, does not intend to extend his contract beyond the current mandate, which will end on April 10, 2007. Mr Colombo wishes to turn his attention to new opportunities and challenges.
Mr Colombo will continue in his current function until the end of the mandate and will then become a consultant to Telekom Austria AG.
Peter Michaelis, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, said: “I acknowledge Mr Colombo’s decision and I’d like to thank him on behalf of the entire Supervisory Board for his excellent work. Together with the management team Mr Colombo has contributed to develop the Telekom Austria Group into an important Central-European player and an attractive Blue Chip company. I’m glad that we will be able to further benefit from his know-how through his consultancy services.”
