For its MEMS-based switching technology
April 6, 2001
SAN DIEGO -- OMM, a leading supplier of photonic switching subsystems based on MEMS technology, announced today that it has been awarded ISO 9001 certification by Det Norske Veritas (DnV) for its corporate quality management system.
"This is a tremendous accomplishment, especially for such a young company," said Keith Boyle, Director of Quality for OMM. "We have been aggressively focused on developing and delivering quality products from the time we began commercial shipments. OMM's achievement is the direct result of a high level of commitment from the entire OMM team and our overall commitment to quality. This major milestone is critical because our customers see ISO 9001 certification as a way of ensuring the quality and reliability of introducing our MEMS-based switches into the marketplace."
