A Nokia sale of mobile, especially to the US, would be nuts
Nokia's hiring of Intel's Justin Hotard to be its new CEO has set tongues wagging again about a mobile exit, but it would look counterintuitive and inadvisable.
Are there fairies in your garden?
May 10, 2006
11:15 AM -- Yesterday's Guardian ran another of its ever popular lists -- The myths that won't die... The "top 10 modern fairytales":
The Abominable Snowman
Nessie
Hollow Earth
Crystals
Elvis
Electronic smog
Telepathy
Fairies
Big cats in Britain
Angels
A very British list, of course ("pumas in Penge?"). Our beloved Bigfoot gets no mention, nor Intelligent Design (or is that an ancient myth?), and the author feels UFOs are a dead letter in the U.K.
It's good to know, though, that Elvis has graced the Sceptered Isle. Long live the King!
