SOUTH PLAINFIELD, N.J. -- Inplane Photonics, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of integrated optical component subsystems on small, low-cost platforms, announced today the appointment of James Coleman to chief financial officer (CFO). Coleman comes to Inplane with 15 years in the fiber optics industry, most recently as vice president and group controller of JDS Uniphase (JDSU). Coleman was formerly CFO at Epitaxx, Inc., (prior to its sale to JDSU), where he also had manufacturing and operations responsibilities when Epitaxx transitioned from its start-up phase to high volume production. Previously, he was on the corporate financial staff of Lenox, Inc. "Jim Coleman adds to our executive team of seasoned professionals," said Joseph Shmulovich, president and CEO of Inplane. "The addition of CFO follows the recent appointments of John Kostibas, vice president of marketing and sales, and Tek-Ming Shen, vice president of strategic product management. Jim's finance and operations experience in the fiber optics industry will be a tremendous advantage as we continue to implement the various stages of corporate development." Inplane Photonics Inc.
