A Nokia sale of mobile, especially to the US, would be nuts
Nokia's hiring of Intel's Justin Hotard to be its new CEO has set tongues wagging again about a mobile exit, but it would look counterintuitive and inadvisable.
CALEA compliance time is nigh.
12:35 PM -- The following is a Public Service Announcement...
If you provide VOIP services, you need to be CALEA compliant very soon. The FCC says so, and you know what a tough bunch of mothers they are.
CALEA is very important because it allows law enforcement to wiretap private communications so that the citizenry -- presumably those not being wiretapped at the time -- can be better served.
The CALEA logo, which features the colors blue and gold, is important, too. It's also greatly symbolic, as noted on one helpful Website:
The gold represents something of value that shines brightly. Blue has been associated with many qualities, but here it represents "the thin blue line" of law enforcement.
Other things that represent something of value and shine brightly include:
Peter Garrett's noggin
The official manual on Aluminum Foil
Thanks for your attention.
