Altra Broadband launches marketing campaign; recruits TI veteran Bill McInerney to lead marketing and business development

IRVINE, Calif. -- Altra Broadband, a subsidiary of Ansoft Corporation (Nasdaq:ANST), announced today that it has launched a marketing campaign targeted at establishing its Dense Subcarrier Multiplexing (xDSM) technology within the broadband communications marketplace. The campaign begins with the task of identifying and assembling a team of leading industry members to participate in the commercialization of xDSM technology. Altra Broadband will work closely with key customers, subcontractors, and complementary suppliers in order to bring the benefits of its recent technological achievements to the marketplace. Bill McInerney, a 14-year veteran of Texas Instruments (TI), has joined the company to help drive these Marketing and Business Development efforts. "We are pleased to have Bill join us to further develop and execute our networking solutions strategy," said Prem Premkumar, Altra's President and CEO.
