SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Alliance Fiber Optic Products, Inc. (Nasdaq: AFOP), a leading supplier of fiber optic components and integrated modules for the optical network equipment market, today announced its patent pending v-collimator™ thin-film filter technology has enabled the release of an all passive, filter based, 50GHz optical Add/Drop multiplexer product suite.
This series of Add/Drop modules achieves 50GHz bandwidths over telecommunications operating conditions without temperature compensation. AFOP's further patent-pending high isolation technology delivers residual isolation at dropped channels better than -35 dB. In addition, these products offer high wavelength accuracy and stability, low insertion loss, high directivity, an epoxy-free optical path, and low Polarization Dependent Loss. AFOP 50GHz OADM modules are available in standard ITU wavelengths with 1, 2, 4, and 8 channel Add/Drop configurations. This advanced product suite is designed for leading Long Haul and Metropolitan Core Network applications and allows for greater design flexibility and lower applied OADM costs.
