FREMONT, Calif. -- Demonstrating its commitment to leveraging and contributing to open innovation, Agema Systems will unveil its industry leading carrier grade deep buffer switch, “AGC7648” series based on Broadcom® StrataDNX™ ASIC at SDN World Congress 2016, Oct 10-14 at The Hague, Netherlands.

The AGC7648 series offer best in class technology for service providers and data centers combining dynamic deep buffers, scalable route tables, advance clocking support for telecom networks and open, programmable NOS in 1 RU compact form factor. This approach complements Agema’s industry leading high performance Next-Gen Open Networking portfolios of 1G/10G/25G/40G/100G product lines based on Broadcom® StrataXGS™ ASIC giving customers a choice to build scalable leaf and spine use cases in network designs while reducing operating cost.

“Broadcom is pleased to collaborate with Agema to provide the carrier grade deep buffer ethernet switch solution. Broadcom's partnership with Agema enabled a fast time-to-market, industry-leading networking solution for data centers and service providers, and we look forward to launching many more platforms in the coming months”, said Wei-Ai Tai, Director of Business Development.

“To build a disaggregated network, today’s cloud computing customers need the robust network switches which Agema provides plus the OcNOS network operating system,” said Kiyo Oishi, CEO and president of IP Infusion. “We’re working with Agema to support Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching on Agema AGC7648 for service provider applications and will have the platform qualified. With Agema and IP Infusion, customers can build their disaggregated network, meet their growth requirements and keep operating costs low.”

While at Agema exhibit booth #22, attendees can obtain information on Agema’s high performance hybrid networking gears and software ecosystems for seamless network control and orchestration. Agema’s portfolio of open hybrid networking platforms offers customers a choice of future proof network deployment to realize next-gen dynamic network with reduced capital expenditures (CAPEX) and operating expenses (OPEX).

"At Agema Systems, we take pride in our commitment to open innovation and ingenuity of designing high performance switching platforms that are among the best in the industry. Our AGC7648 series and portfolios of high performance platform helps enterprises and service providers transform network infrastructure from rigid, expensive and static to dynamic, cost effective and intelligent, eliminating the need for network overhaul," said Jay Huang, President of Agema Systems.

Supporting the introduction of Agema's new open networking white box switching platforms are:

  • "Open networking is the key to building distributed cloud solutions that scale up for large multi-tenant data centers and scale down to microsites for NFV infrastructure. Agema’s open architecture combined with CPLANE NETWORKS multi-site cloud orchestration extends OpenStack virtual networks across pods within data centers, across globally-distributed cloud sites, and to the network edge for high-value virtualized network functions - all with end-to-end quality of service.” - Brandon Williams, CEO, CPLANE NETWORKS.

    • "Our tests show the Agema platform is an ideal and stable platform for service providers.", Menno Kortekaas, Technical Director, Circle B

    • "AMAX is proud to be working with Agema Systems to provide a total open platform Data Center solution including top of rack and spine switching, servers, and storage for a one stop shopping solution for our customers. The newly announced carrier grade deep buffer switch based on Broadcom DNX ASIC, along with Agema’s complete data center switches solutions based on Broadcom XGX ASIC, provides datacenter customers with additional open switch and network OS options to choose from, at prices that are much lower than similar Tier 1 offerings." —James Huang, Product Marketing Manager, AMAX Information Technologies.
