BT Picks Zhone in Ireland

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Zhone Technologies today announced that BT Telecommunications Group PLC has selected Zhone's innovative Multi-Access Line Concentrator (MALC(TM)) delivery platform to support the company's comprehensive multiservice DSL end-to-end solution rollout in Ireland. BT's selection of the MALC was made possible through Zhone's OEM partnership with Ericsson, a leading communications supplier to service providers globally. Zhone's MALC reduces BT's cost and complexity of deploying services at the edge by supporting both traditional TDM and broadband access in a single platform.
