Occam Networks BLC 6000 named as compatible product with Nortel’s DMS-10 carrier class CO switching platform

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Occam Networks® Inc. (NASDAQ:OCNW) announced today that Occam’s Broadband Loop Carrier (BLC) POTS and Combination POTS/ADSL2Plus blades have successfully completed compatibility laboratory testing with Nortel DMS-10 Packet Gateway Interface product.

Occam is a leading supplier of innovative Ethernet and IP-based loop carrier equipment to telecommunications companies. Nortel delivers innovative technology solutions encompassing end-to-end broadband, VoIP, multimedia services and applications, and wireless broadband.

Compatible Occam blades in the compatibility laboratory tests included the BLC 6150, 6151, 6152, 6252, 6244 and 6246. Through the program, Nortel tests third-party products that are complementary to Nortel’s enterprise and carrier VoIP, and multimedia solutions for Nortel’s communications platforms. Interoperability testing with Nortel CS 1500 and CS 2000 communications servers is also underway at the time of this release.
