KRANJ, Slovenia -- Iskratel, a Slovenian telecommunication equipment vendor, has tested the interoperability of its DSL network access equipment at the 5th DSL Plugtest Event in Lannion, France. Iskratel successfully presented the expanded portfolio of DSL access technologies.

Iskratel test setup consisted of SI2000 MSAN (Multi-service and Access Node) access blades and SI2000 DSL customer premise equipment. Company’s demo team tested ADSL2+ and the newly developed VDSL2 blade. ADSL2+ has already become a fully mature access technology for the complete Triple Play service suite delivery. The VDSL2 blade is rapidly gaining market momentum.

As head of Iskratel plugtest demo team, Mr. Gregor Smolej pointed out: “Lannion was again a perfect opportunity for our company to prove the results of development efforts. Our access technology portfolio has become truly universal and is capable of fulfilling the most complex infrastructural demands. Active involvement of numerous highly relevant chipset and system vendors will without a doubt fasten the global delivery and consumption of IP-based Triple Play services.”
