Aurora Networks appoints Oleh Sniezko, former VP of Engineering at AT&T Broadband, as chief technology officer

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Aurora Networks, a leading developer of advanced optical transport systems for broadband networks, announced today the appointment of Oleh Sniezko to the newly created position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He will be responsible for guiding Aurora's technical vision and product development, and ensuring that Aurora's transport products remain the most innovative and cost effective in the industry. Oleh brings to Aurora many years of broadband systems engineering and telecommunications R&D experience. Prior to joining Aurora, Oleh was with AT&T Broadband for six years, serving four years as Vice President of Engineering. At AT&T Broadband, Oleh was instrumental in developing leading edge and widely deployed cable system architectures, including LightWire(TM) and Oxiom(TM). Prior to AT&T, he worked for eight years at Rogers Engineering, the corporate engineering group for Rogers Cablesystems, Ltd. Aurora Networks Inc.
