Amino Adds Firefox

CAMBRIDGE, U.K. -- Amino, leading IPTV set-top box supplier, today announced that it will integrate the Firefox browser into its award-winning range of IPTV set-top boxes. Firefox, recently reported to be approaching a 13% share of the Internet browser market on PCs, will be ported to Amino's software stack and adapted to provide consumers with a clear television interface, wholly different from the web-user experience of the current software. It will also give Amino the ability to customise and optimise the browser for IPTV viewing. The Firefox browser will be available to Amino customers in Q3 2006.

The Firefox web browser is an award-winning open-source product developed by the Mozilla Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation devoted to promoting choice and innovation on the Internet. Engineers and partner companies from around the world assisted in the development of Firefox through bug reporting, fixing and feedback.
