West Bay Semiconductor expands US sales network, signing sales agreement with Texas-based Quad State Sales and Marketing

VANCOUVER -- West Bay Semiconductor Inc. today announced that it has signed a sales agreement with Quad State Sales and Marketing, a sales organization that represents a number of world class international electronics component vendors in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas. Several prominent optical networking equipment makers operate in these territories. The Texas, Richardson/Plano area is often referred to as the "Telecom Corridor", due to the high concentration of telecom equipment vendors located there. "Quad State improves our ability to compete in several important parts of the United States," said Tino Varelas, President & CEO of West Bay Semiconductor. "They bring to the relationship a wealth of local customer contacts at tier 1 telecom equipment vendors, and they enable us to provide customers in the region with world class, timely service and support."
