SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- UTA Telekom AG, Austria's leading new provider for Telecommunications- and eBusiness-Services, has selected integration solutions from Vitria (NASDAQ:VITR) to consolidate their heterogeneous information technology (IT) infrastructure. Vitria's award-winning integration solution, BusinessWare(R), will not only reduce development and maintenance costs of individual interfaces but will also provide UTA Telekom AG with a single view of their customer data. Austrian telecommunication provider UTA Telekom AG plans to integrate their Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System into the existing heterogeneous information technology (IT) infrastructure to increase efficiency and performance of their customer care system. Creating a single view of each customer by synchronizing the distributed customer data records is one of the main aspects for this new integration solution. UTA Telekom AG, based in Vienna, is Austria's leading new provider for Telecommunications- and eBusiness-Services. As a full-service provider for both individual and enterprise clients, UTA provides a 'new quality of communication' by offering telecommunication services like landline, Internet, enterprise-wide communication lines, mobile and e-Business in one product portfolio. "An accurate and up-to-date single view of our customer data is a must for any successful customer care activity," said Gerhard Melchard of UTA. "We wanted to invest in a solution flexible enough for future business expansion. We realized that point-to-point connections between mission critical applications would slow down our business processes and make them more error- prone. Our strong need for a fully integrated solution is one of the reasons why UTA Telekom AG chose Vitria's BusinessWare." Vitria Technology Inc.
