Starent Networks prices its IPO of 10.5M shares at $12 per share

TEWKSBURY, Mass. -- Starent Networks, Corp. today announced the pricing of its initial public offering of 10,534,841 shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $12 per share. Of the shares being sold in the offering, 9,000,000 shares are being sold by Starent Networks and 1,534,841 shares are being sold by certain selling stockholders. In addition, Starent Networks has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,580,226 shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any. Starent Network’s common stock is expected to begin trading on the Nasdaq Global Market on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 under the symbol “STAR.”

Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Lehman Brothers are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering, and J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. and Thomas Weisel Partners LLC are acting as co-managers.
