DALLAS -- Dr. John E. Spencer, CEO of Photodigm Inc, today presented Photodigm's vision for the future of integrated photonics at the Southwest Venture Capital Conference -- addressing the key areas of higher speeds, wider bandwidths and lower costs. Photodigm is positioning itself to be a key player in a market that is expected to reach $7.8B in 2004.Photodigm is speeding the evolution of photonics by combining the best attributes of existing laser technologies with modern semiconductor manufacturing techniques. The resultant GO Laser(TM) technology becomes the cornerstone for the development of cost effective photonic integrated circuits. Not only does the device structure result in superior laser characteristics, but it also provides the ability to route the light between different circuit elements on the chip, allowing the integration of multiple components. Photodigm's product plans include integrated Raman pumps, tunable lasers, 40Gbs source lasers and integrated isolators. Photodigm is seeking a $5M Investment to fund continuing product development and initial manufacturing capability.Photodigm Inc.
