Oki Optical Components and Kotura to partner in silicon photonics for next-generation products

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Oki Optical Components, a leading supplier of very high speed optical and IC components for Ethernet and Telecom applications, and Kotura Inc., a leading provider of silicon photonic components today announced that they are partnering to bring new products to the market place.

Later this year, Oki Optical Components plans to introduce a 10G APD receiver with integrated VOA for Metro applications. The silicon photonics VOA with the fastest response time in the industry enables the receiver to support a wide range of new applications.

“We are excited to be working together with Kotura to develop advanced products utilizing Kotura Silicon photonic platform,” said Tamotsu Kimura, General Manager, Oki Optical Components. “Our customers will benefit from having the close cooperation between OKI and Kotura.”
