Signs frame contract with ZTE to build out the CDMA network of Sistema Shyam TeleServices in India

ATHENS -- INTRACOM TELECOM, a part of SITRONICS, today announced the signing of a frame contract with ZTE, a leading provider of telecommunications equipment and network services to build-out the CDMA network of Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) in India, operating under the brand MTS India.

Under this USD 85 million contract, INTRACOM TELECOM will be complementing ZTE’s CDMA solution with its family of high and low capacity PDH and SDH Radio Relay equipment (INTRALINK). The two vendors will be cooperating under this agreement in order to implement SSTL’s aggressive Pan-Indian rollout plans.

At the same time, they will positively catalyse our network expansion plan throughout India in the coming months”,commented Mr. Raymond Armes, Deputy CEO, Sistema Shyam TeleServices Ltd.
