ACTON, Mass. -- Mintera® Corporation, the solution leader enabling migration of optical transport to 40 Gigabits per second (Gbps) and higher in metro-core, regional and ultra long-haul networks, today announced the first international shipment of its flagship product, the MI 40000XS. Mintera's MI 40000XS is the Company’s market-leading 40 Gbps DWDM transport subsystem.

Mintera’s new platform, which will be used by an Asia-Pacific systems company, delivers an industry-leading transmission reach as compared with other commercial products. The combination of the product's modulation format and built-in adaptive dispersion mitigation technology, which delivers market-leading chromatic and polarization dispersion tolerances, makes 40 Gbps as easy to deploy as 10 Gbps transport. The design of the MI 40000XS platform is based upon the emerging AdvancedTCA®300 industry standard.

"The first international shipment of our new product is both a product milestone as well as validation of Mintera’s value proposition," said Mintera CEO Terry Unter. "We look forward to a long-term relationship with this partner and to providing ongoing support as they deploy the platform. Since our inception, Mintera has been making the performance benefits of cost-effective 40 Gbps transport a reality – clearly demonstrated by the impressive density and performance of the MI 40000XS."
