Optical component supplier opens a 57,000 square-foot laser diode manufacturing plant in Vancouver, Wash.

SEATTLE -- nLight Photonics, an early stage optical component supplier, announces the grand opening of its 57,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art laser diode manufacturing plant in Vancouver, Washington. The Vancouver facility will provide nLight Photonics with industry leading laser diode manufacturing capabilities. Completed in August, the plant will start production in October. The facility includes 22,000 square-feet of class 1000 clean room. "Our product and process technologies allow us to significantly improve the performance while reducing the cost of active optical components," said Scott Keeney, President. "This new facility will gives us increased control of product reliability and shortened design cycle times. Even with the current downturn in optical component markets, we strongly believe continued investment in our capabilities and proprietary technology position us well for the industry turn around." nLight Photonics
