HORSHAM, Pa. -- Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT) Broadband Communications Sector today announced that the company has received three recognitions for Euro-DOCSIS interoperability in Certification Wave 13 based on testing executed by tComLabs.

These product recognitions bring Motorola's industry-leading total for Euro-DOCSIS certifications or qualifications to 18.

In Certification Wave 13, the Euro-DOCSIS Certification Board recognized the Motorola SBG900E wireless cable modem gateway, which is now certified for interoperability with both the Euro-DOCSIS 1.1 and 2.0 standards; and the Motorola SB5100E cable modem received certification for Euro-DOCSIS 2.0, having previously received Euro-DOCSIS 1.1 certification in ECW 11.

"Motorola is delighted to have two flagship products -- our newest wireless cable modem gateway, and our latest cable modem -- receive Euro-DOCSIS certification. These recognitions demonstrate Motorola's commitment to developing innovative broadband products that are fully compliant with regional standards," said Paul King, corporate vice president and general manager of Motorola Broadband - Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). "As consumers begin to add these products to build a 'connected home,' these recognitions will provide assurances that Motorola products are fully interoperable with other Euro-DOCSIS devices."
