YAKUM, Israel -- Metalink Ltd. (Nasdaq: MTLK), a global provider and developer of high performance wireline and wireless broadband communication silicon solutions, today announced that Tzvi Shukhman, Metalink's Chairman and CEO, and a principal shareholder, has acquired an additional 30,000 shares of the Company's stock in open market purchases during the last 2 months, and a total of 1,520,497 shares since November 2001.

Mr. Shukhman has been a steady buyer of Metalink's shares, bringing his beneficial ownership of Metalink stock to 5,915,921 shares, which is 30.7% of the Company's outstanding shares.

The purchases by Mr. Shukhman have been made in accordance with Metalink's trading window policies.
