ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Latens, the leading provider of software only conditional access and middleware for IPTV and digital pay-TV, today announces that Amino Communications has successfully integrated the company’s software conditional access with the AmiNET530 Digital Video Recorder (DVR) set-top box (STB). Amino Communications is the world leading IPTV platform supplier, and this integration adds to the range of Amino IPTV STBs fully protected and enabled by Latens software conditional access.

The integration between Latens software conditional access (CA) and the AmiNET530 STB further enhances the ability of both companies to enable additional revenue opportunities for operators by supporting advanced IPTV functionality such as DVR, pause live TV and pushed content modules.

The AmiNET530 advanced interactive IPTV STB has the ability to view recorded content either locally or via other connected STBs in the home. It delivers the benefits of low bit-rate codecs including MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) and allows connection of high definition (HD) displays via analogue and HDMI outputs. Class leading picture quality and HD graphics provide an enhanced user experience.

“We are delighted to have completed this integration with Latens, and that we have further improved our ability to offer a highly attractive business solution to the IPTV market. The superior performance of Latens software conditional access solutions for the IPTV and telco market, and the consistent quality of its integrations and deployments with Amino STBs makes Latens the ideal partner for our success,” commented Nick Sutherland, Head of Product Management, Amino.
