LaserBit Communications appoints Andrew Matthews as vice president global sales

LONDON -- LaserBit Communications Corp, developer and manufacturer of wireless, free space optics (FSO), voice, data and video transmission systems, today announced it is strengthening its sales team with the appointment of Andrew Matthews as Vice President Global Sales. Matthews reports directly to E. Walter Koenig III, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of LaserBit Communications Corporation.

Matthews joins LaserBit with global responsibility for sales and market development. He will have full responsibility for the sales teams world-wide, as well as a strong involvement in driving product development and the distribution strategy. Matthews’ remit is to ensure LaserBit takes lead share in the emerging Asia Pacific and South American markets as well as maximising the already strong position in the UK and Europe.

Previously on the board of, FSO system manufacturer, Pav Data Systems, Matthews is an internationally accomplished senior sales executive with a record of successfully growing the business and forming strategic partnerships. He has experience of the mobile arena and the direct/indirect sales industry across Europe, Middle/Far East and China.
