EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- Infonet Services Corporation (NYSE:IN - News), a leading provider of global communications services for multinationals, today announced the expansion of Infonet's services further into Eastern Europe, with new representation in Bulgaria and Latvia.

As part of its continuing effort to support the managed networking needs of clients doing business in developing markets, Infonet has entered into agreements to deliver services in Bulgaria and Latvia via local partners BankNet and Lattelekom SIA.

Infonet's relationship in Bulgaria with BankNet, a provider of terrestrial and satellite data communications services, is an extension of its existing partnership to deliver Infonet's services in Hungary. Working closely with BankNet's local partner in Bulgaria, Neterra, Infonet is now able to provide clients in Bulgaria with Global Frame Relay and MPLS-enabled IP VPN services.

In Latvia, Infonet has entered into an agreement with Lattelekom, a market leader in telecommunications and IT services. With the agreement in place, Infonet is now able to deliver its services to international corporations doing business in 27 major Latvian locations.

"Our partnerships with these leading local players help us deliver the type of globally managed services that the emerging Eastern Europe telecommunications infrastructure is beginning to support, and that businesses in the region are beginning to demand," commented Harry van Streun, president, Infonet EMEA. "This expansion is a continuation of our strategy to bring our service and support structure to those regions that we see opportunity in, or where our clients are asking for managed network services."
