New CEO Mark Ward and COO Jim Sullivan; current CEO Harry Dixon to continue as chairman

WALTHAM, Mass. -- GiantLoop Network, Inc. the leading provider of Enterprise Optical Networking services, today announced that Mark B. Ward was promoted to chief executive officer and that Jim Sullivan has joined the company as chief operating officer. Co-founder Harry Dixon will continue in his role as Chairman of the board and remain an active participant of the executive management team. Ward previously served as GiantLoop's president and chief operating officer and is one of the founders of the company. Before joining GiantLoop, he held several senior management positions at EMC Corporation. Ward led the team that established and built the EMC software business. Through this effort, the company grew software revenue to $1.5 billion in three years and transformed its value proposition from storage vendor to total storage software solutions provider.
