Latest release of the FLASHWAVE® 7300 Transponder improves sparing, space and power savings

RICHARDSON, Texas -- Reinforcing a commitment to help carriers in the long haul market recognize additional Operating Expense (OPEX) savings, add more services to their network and simplify network operations, Fujitsu Network Communications Inc. today revealed its latest release of the FLASHWAVE 7300 high-density transponder system offering an extremely small footprint, tunable lasers and efficient power utilization.This latest release of the FLASHWAVE 7300 platform allows long haul carriers to enhance the economies of Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) transmission by transporting a wide breadth of services to reduce the operational overhead and maximize return on investment. To further drive down costs, the FLASHWAVE 7300 platform provides self-healing network protection, 2.4 Gbps multiplexers/transponders, or muxponders, to maximize the utilization of wavelengths, Forward Error Correction (FEC) to achieve longer spans, and digital wrapper technology to enhance the performance monitoring and fault isolation of signals in the DWDM domain.
