LONDON -- Fujikura Europe Ltd continues to set the pace for leading-edge innovations in the fibre market! Measuring only 110mm x 100mm x 80mm and weighing 640g - SpliceMate™ is the world’s smallest fusion splicer by 30%* to its nearest rival!

This latest addition to Fujikura’s family of splicing machines for all fibre applications is designed to be highly portable and can be used in areas with very limited access that is typical in many FTTH/FTTP situations. Complementing Fujikura's highly acclaimed world's fastest singlemode core-aligning fusion splicer; the FSM-50S and the fixed V-groove multimode FSM-17S - The Fujikura SpliceMate™ is poised to challengetraditional working methods.

Although the SpliceMate™ is the smallest fusion splicer available, it doesn't compromise on quality. It can boast of a highly functional and performance specification, which includes: dual camera fibre viewing, splice loss estimation, automatic arc calibration, automatic core analysis and fibre type detection.

This splicer is ideal for FTTH/FTTP and datacoms applications where accurate splice loss estimation is important. By having dual (X/Y) viewing of the fibres and a large, high quality 3.5” monitor the machine provides a clear view of the fibres, accurate loss estimations and the speed of operation is swift; with a typical splice time of 20 seconds and a 60mm splice protector shrink time of 40 seconds, using the built-in heater.
