Ron Martin resigns post at Fujitsu Network Communications; president Akira Tokimasa will assume his responsibilities

RICHARDSON, Texas -- Fujitsu Network Communications today announced the resignation of Ron Martin, executive vice president and chief operating officer. Akira Tokimasa, president of Fujitsu Network Communications, will take over Ron Martin's responsibilities, which include strategic planning, product development, marketing and sales. Akira Tokimasa was named chief operating officer and president when he joined Fujitsu Network Communications, Inc in 1996. Prior to joining the North American division, he spent 30 years in telecommunications development at Fujitsu Limited in Kawasaki, Japan. Tokimasa worked on a number of strategic projects, including the highly successful line of SONET products from Fujitsu. "The company is in a powerful position today to further establish itself as a leading player in the optical transport business," says Akira Tokimasa. "We have a strong product portfolio, an enviable customer base, an experienced management team, and are well positioned to build on our market successes."
