FirstEnergy Manages Corning's Utilities

CORNING, N.Y. -- FirstEnergy Corp. (NYSE: FE - News) announced today that its subsidiary, FirstEnergy Solutions Corp., has signed a multi- year agreement with Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW - News) for energy management services in the United States. Under the agreement, FirstEnergy Solutions will assist Corning in securing competitively priced electricity and natural gas, managing risk, and identifying energy-use patterns. FirstEnergy Solutions also will help identify ways to increase energy efficiency at 29 of the company's facilities in Maine, Massachusetts, Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas.
