Nistica leverages Fujikura’s world-class quality, volume processes, field support for FLEDGE Series production manufacturing

TOKYO -- Fujikura Limited, one of the world’s preeminent manufacturers of optical components and subsystems, and Nistica, an optical subsystems supplier to leading telecom system OEMs, today announced a broad cooperative agreement to expand the scope and scale of advanced ROADM technology availability worldwide. As part of this strategic relationship, Fujikura will provide full production manufacturing facilities and processes for Nistica’s volume delivery of Nistica’s FLEDGE series of tunable filters and ROADM modules, as well as future Nistica products. In addition, Fujikura will act as a strategic partner for field, warranty and sales channel support in selected markets. Moreover, Nistica and Fujikura will explore jointly developing products in the ROADM market, based on Nistica’s technology and platform.

A pioneer in fiber optics and cabling for decades, the Telecommunications Segment of Fujikura has long established itself as a reliable high-volume supplier of quality optical products in the global marketplace. Fujikura operates optical manufacturing facilities worldwide and supplies a wide range of optical components and subsystems to global telecom equipment vendors, ranging from optical amplifiers and modules to FTTH products.
