SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Veraz Networks, Inc. and SigValue Technologies Ltd. today announced the deployment of a fully-integrated, end-to-end, VoIP network solution at Bezeq International. Bezeq International replaced its legacy TDM environment with the joint solution in an effort to migrate to an open IMS-based architecture (IP Multimedia Subsystem) and is now delivering enhanced telephony applications and services to its large base of pre-paid residential and calling card subscribers.

The joint Veraz-SigValue solution allows Bezeq International to respond to market demands quickly and easily by offering new applications such as Voice over Broadband (VOBB), Class 5 Services and Intelligent Network (IN) services. The solution provides a robust suite of long-distance, international gateway functionalities alongside advanced billing and value added services such as prepaid services and a full-featured postpaid calling card service. Bezeq International will also be able to leverage SigValue's Value platform to deploy additional services including Callback service and Advanced International toll-free service.

The open architecture of both companies' platforms enables service providers to choose preferred solutions and easily integrate them into an existing network. Recently, industry groups, carriers and vendors have promoted the adoption of IMS as part of an overall network and services architecture. Veraz's ControlSwitch(TM) softswitch and service delivery platform form the fundamental part of a service provider's overall IMS architecture.

"Bezeq International is one of the first operators in Israel to embrace an IMS-based architecture where we can launch new services and bill in real-time any type of media, from any type of access, regardless of the payment method the subscriber chooses," said Yuval Keinan, VP Technologies, Bezeq International. "We believe that the solution provided by Veraz and SigValue equips Bezeq International with the most advanced tools in the market to generate revenue producing services and create customer loyalty in both the residential and business market."

"We are excited to be part of this next generation deployment for Bezeq International," said Paul Singh, VP of Business Development, Veraz Networks Inc. "This deployment demonstrates the power of Veraz's open architecture to advance the migration of advanced communication services to IP networks with on-the-fly service creation, delivery, and management."

In a separate release: NAPERVILLE, Ill. and SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Personeta, a leading provider of next generation network service platforms and IMS application servers, and Veraz Networks, a leading global provider of voice over IP (VoIP) softswitches, media gateways and digital compression products, today announced the successful completion of integration and interoperability testing. Personeta's TappS(TM) NSC network service controller has now been certified by Veraz as a 'Deployment-Ready' member of the Veraz Open Solution Alliance (VOSA). Service providers will be able to accelerate deployment of advanced services with a Personeta's TappS(TM) NSC interoperating with Veraz's ControlSwitch(TM) softswitch and I-Gate 4000-PRO media gateway.

"We want to bring new services and hence more opportunity for new revenues to our service provider customers demonstrating the openness and versatility of Veraz platform. We welcome Personeta as a new member of our VOSA program. Having completed interoperability testing with Personeta's NSC, our combined offering now offers a choice of many new services to our customers," said R. Paul Singh, vice president, Business Development at Veraz Networks.

Veraz's expansive product offering encompasses the Veraz ControlSwitch softswitch and service delivery platform, the I-Gate 4000 family of media gateways, as well as third-party application servers and media servers. At the core of the fully-programmable ControlSwitch are nearly a dozen software elements that map to the IMS architecture, including a built-in service broker that integrates with third-party application platforms like the Personeta TappS NSC.
