GAITHERSBURG, Md. -- BroadSoft, Inc., a leading provider of VoIP application software, today announced that v2tel, the leading provider of hosted IP PBX solutions to the SME market in Denmark, will deploy next-generation VoIP services based on the BroadWorks® VoIP application platform over its nationwide MPLS network. The move from its open-source platform to BroadSoft's de facto industry standard solution will result in both scalability and increased functionality, allowing v2tel to offer feature-rich communications packages to its customers.

v2tel VoIP customers will be able to take advantage of BroadSoft's desktop toolbar, which allows advanced control of corporate communications features and relevant applications, including video telephony and conferencing. By using the BroadWorks platform, v2tel can deliver unified communications and a 'one number, one experience,' whereby any call can be diverted by the user to one or more devices of their choice, putting the individual and/or the business in complete control of their own VoIP experience. This is in addition to the standard enterprise telephony features such as voicemail, diverting, call forwarding and call barring.

v2tel is the first Danish operator to run VoIP hosted PBX systems over a multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) network. This enables v2tel to deliver a superior -- and guaranteed -- quality of service to its customers.

"v2tel is a forward-looking company, and we want to offer value solutions to all levels of enterprises, from those with just two employees to larger enterprises with complex needs that operate over multiple office sites," said Jørgen Weber, v2tel's Administrative Director.
