Acme Packet announces planned retirement of chief financial officer

BURLINGTON, Mass. -- Acme Packet, Inc. (NASDAQ: APKT), the leader in session border control solutions, today announced that Mr. Keith Seidman, the Company's Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, plans to retire from the Company. Mr. Seidman will continue in his current role until such time as a new Chief Financial Officer has been appointed and a successful transition period has been completed. Mr. Seidman has no immediate plans other than working with the Company to ensure an orderly transition to a new CFO and then spending more time traveling with his family and pursuing philanthropic interests. Mr. Seidman has served as the Company's Chief Financial Officer since February 2001. The Company plans to retain an executive search firm to assist in the recruitment process.
