DUBLIN -- Virtual Access has today announced its combined IP-telephony and Internet wholesale security services platform. The solution enables ISP's to deliver scaleable value-add services to their business broadband customers avoiding capital outlay, technical implementation, logistics handling and on-site customer installation.

This new solution provides a completely automated service delivery process for order acknowledgement, deployment, configuration and monitoring of managed converged services. With no up-front investment, specialised technical staff or need to hold product stock, the solution simply integrates into any ISP's portfolio of business broadband services.

The service uses Virtual Access' Service Managed Gateway (SMG), a single centrally managed customer premises equipment appliance that provides an ADSL interface, MGCP or SIP proxy, QOS and broadband security services. The SMG is controlled and remotely configured by VA's Activator Service Controller, the central management server that automates service delivery and management by providing 'Zero-Touch' service activation, software release control, service management and service level reporting.

Nigel Ifill, director of sales at Virtual Access, enthused: "The beauty of this solution for ISP's, is that it greatly simplifies the processes involved in developing and implementing new services for their business customers. As soon as the strategic decision has been made to offer the service, there can be a rapid route to market - providing true business agility."
