LONDON -- Tdsoft Ltd., a leading provider of VoIP Gateways for Carriers, presently exhibiting at the 21st Century Communications World Forum in London, addresses a key issue on the NGN agenda - the support of legacy subscribers and the replacement of TDM switches. Tdsoft's gateways are an essential extension of the Class 5 softswitch deployed in the central office, enabling the support not only of copper lines but also of remote DLCs connected via V5.x and GR-303 protocols.

Leveraging its success and leadership in migrating networks to V5.2 and Voice over Broadband, Tdsoft reputable gateways are now facing their biggest opportunity - to enable the migration of telephony networks to IP/NGN.

TdMAX

Featuring the highest subscriber line capacity and smallest footprint in the market, TdMAX is a carrier-class, best-of-breed platform that provides network operators with unrivalled reliability, full compatibility with VoIP signalling protocols, and a rich set of voice and data features.

TdMAX serves as the ideal gateway for Class 5 replacement switches and has proven interoperability with major softswitches based on MGCP and Megaco/H.248 signalling protocols. Optimized for the central office, the scalable TdMAX supports 960 ports on a single shelf, up to six shelves in a rack for a total of 5760 POTS lines per rack. Yosi Albagli, president and CEO of Tdsoft said: "Timing of this 21CN event marks two important milestones for Tdsoft. The first is the installation of the TdGATE in a major European ILEC network as part of the FTTP rollout. Second is the deployment of TdMAX, our new VoIP, Large Line Gateway in customer networks in the Far East".

TdGATE

TdGATE* gateways connect VoIP and Voice over ATM to TDM based access networks and/or switches. The gateway supports a variety of packet-based protocols such as MGCP, H.248/MEGACO and BLES as well as common legacy protocols such as V5.2, V5.1, GR-303, PRI and CAS. TdGATE* is a carrier-class device that leverages the rich experience of Tdsoft in V5.x and carrier class Voice over Packet Gateways to achieve seamless connectivity and short time to market.

The same gateway can be used for Voice over Broadband access applications such as

  • VoATM - providing connectivity between a broadband passive optical network (PON) and a TDM switch

  • Voice over DSL

  • Class 5 Replacement applications supporting the connection of legacy DLCs to softswitches.
