Initial shipments began in December, 2001; current delivery is 8 to 10 weeks ARO. The SunSet 10G, in the tradition of the SunSet line of products, offers a comprehensive set of features in a compact, handheld, portable test set. Weighing approximately 4 pounds with a rechargeable battery pack, the SunSet 10G is the lightest and smallest 10 Gbps optical test set on the market today. An ideal solution for the field technician, its portability, versatility, and economy are also valuable to the laboratory engineer. An expanded color screen displays circuit status, signal status, error/alarm status, and additional information at a single glance. The test set has interfaces for 10 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps, 622 Mbps, and 155 Mbps optical, SONET/SDH signals. The SunSet 10G is available in a variety of configurations supporting multiple rates at both 1310 nm and 1550 nm wavelength transmission.
