Tony Martin, former managing director of Lucent's Asia/Pacific Wireless Regional Centre in Kuala Lumpur, joins Radiant as CTO

LITTLE CHESTERFORD, U.K. -- Radiant Networks Plc (“Radiant”), global market leader in Mesh broadband wireless access technology, announces it has appointed Tony Martin as Chief Technical Officer. He will be responsible for a team of 70 people at Radiant, which has offices near Cambridge in the UK, and in Florida, USA.Mr Martin, aged 45, joins from Lucent, where he was Managing Director of Lucent Technologies’ Asia Pacific Wireless Regional Centre in Kuala Lumpur. At Lucent, he co-founded and was chief architect of Lucent’s AirLoop digital fixed wireless technology for wireless local loop (WLL) and was actively involved in supporting mass deployment of the system. Subsequently, he was Director for GSM and UMTS systems engineering, responsible for specification of all technical aspects of Lucent’s offerings in these markets.Mr Martin has also worked at Nortel, Siemens and De La Rue in a number of engineering positions. He has an MSc in signal processing from Portsmouth University and began his career in the Royal Navy.Commenting, Geoff Butcher, Radiant’s Chief Executive Officer said: “We are delighted that Tony has joined Radiant.
