CAMPBELL, Calif. -- Procera(R) Networks, Inc. (OTC:PRNW) (BULLETIN BOARD: PRNW) , a pioneering developer of optimized network security and compliance systems, today announced its intent to explore strategic financing alternatives to accelerate and expand the company's market traction investments in the rapidly evolving application-oriented networking market. The company has retained Houlihan, Lokey, Howard & Zukin, a leading investment bank, as its financial advisor in its evaluation of strategic partnerships and related investment opportunities.

"Cisco's recent introduction of its new AON application-oriented networking technology combines with our customers' and partners' validation that our OptimIP intelligent network appliances provide a unique application-oriented security and control overlay to existing Cisco networks," said Doug Glader, President and CEO of Procera Networks. "The time is right for Procera to evaluate how we can work more closely with well-established industry players with strong existing channels to better position our products for extensive market adoption in the broad market for application-oriented networking alternatives."

Procera's OptimIP intelligent network appliance architecture provides wire-speed security and control solutions for enterprises, small/mid-sized businesses, managed security service providers, wireless network providers, K-12 education, higher education, financial institutions and numerous others. Procera Networks is a publicly held company trading on the over-the-counter securities exchange under the symbol PRNW.OB.

"Procera Networks has assembled an extensive technology portfolio, which includes more than 160 patent claims, and developed a unique wire-speed security appliance platform alongside an advanced anomaly detection architecture," said Glader. "Procera's non-invasive network overlay solutions enable organizations to enforce business policies and ensure compliance by securing and controlling data and applications on today's converged network topologies. Procera's intelligent network appliances and core technology are experiencing significant selling traction and widespread interest across a broad spectrum of markets - from homeland security and compliance process management to secure teleconferencing, wireless services and retail information systems, which now affords a dramatic opportunity to the right strategic partners and investors."
