Oplink Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: OPLK), designer and manufacturer of innovative optical components and integrated optical modules announced today that Ken Brizel has joined its executive team as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development. In order to meet customer and market-driven demands for higher levels of integration and breadth of portfolio, Brizel will be focusing his efforts on planning and directing Oplink’s growth strategy. This includes the accelerated expansion of Oplink’s broad product offering, through acquisitions, partnerships, and investments. Brizel joins Oplink from Lucent Microelectronics where he served as the Director of Strategic Marketing.
