Masergy Communications appoints Thomas W. Hall, most recently of Qwest, as chief operating officer

DALLAS -- Masergy Communications, Inc., a global telecommunications service provider, today announced the appointment of Thomas W. Hall as chief operating officer. Hall will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company, including sales, marketing, operations, and engineering. In joining MASERGY, Hall brings nearly 30 years of sales and operational experience in both the technology and telecommunications industries. He has held senior level sales and operations positions with IBM, Verizon (formerly GTE), MCI, and, most recently, Qwest. At Qwest, Hall was the company's first chief quality officer. Prior to that role, he was senior vice president of global business sales. While at GTE, Hall launched the company's first Internet Service Provider SBU for the small business and consumer markets. "Tom not only has the operational experience to continue to expand our first-class global operation, but he also has the sales experience to help us grow this company," said Barry D.
