TEL AVIV -- RADCOM Ltd., (NASDAQ: RDCM), a leading network test and quality management solutions provider, today announced that the Korean Telecommunications Technology Association has selected RADCOM’s MegaSIP Simulator, a carrier-grade solution that generates high-volume SIP-based traffic, to perform VoIP system testing. The TTA is a non-governmental IT standards setting body responsible for testing products from several leading Korean manufacturers and service providers including Samsung, Hyundai, Korea Telecom and SK Telecom. The Access Network Test Team at TTA plans to use the MegaSIP for performance testing of products being developed for SIP applications. MegaSIP provides the TTA with dual testing capabilities: MegaStress and MediaStress. MegaStress generates peak load conditions, reaching 3 million BHCA and 500,000 simultaneous calls, at a setup rate of 2,000 calls per second. This capability enables customers to determine the speed at which the equipment being tested can accept new calls and the reliability with which the equipment processes high volume traffic. It enables customers to test the performance of major SIP components such as SIP proxies, register servers and redirect servers. The MediaStress capability generates 2000 outgoing RTP channels in various codecs for SIP calls created by SIP signaling. It enables predictive and real-time performance testing of routers, switches, load balance mechanisms, mediators and gateways in high-volume production environments. Mr. Jang Woong, Manager, Senior Engineering Staff at TTA’s Network Test Center IT Testing Laboratory said, "We already have other RADCOM equipment which we have found most successful for monitoring and testing networks. We have now selected the MegaSIP Simulator because it enables us to verify proper functionality of VoIP equipment at the design stage, as well as measure the performance of devices in post deployment settings. As such, it is a unique life-cycle testing tool for us”.Radcom Inc.
